• It is an asset to be comfortable working with crochet thread to create this pattern.
• (All stitches marked with an * have photo illustrations included in the pattern). This pattern is made with single crochet, *foundation single crochet, *single crochet 2 together, chain, slip stitch, double crochet.
• 4 balls of Aunt Lydia's Classic size 10 crochet cotton (colors shown are #001/White and #487/Dark Royal) size D/3-3.25mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge (3) 3/4 inch buttons thread needle (for working in ends and sewing on buttons)

Gauge:

5 shells (2 double crochet, chain 2, 2 double crochet) X 8 shell rows = 3 inches square
